Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 26, 2026

Introduction

SecureNote ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application and services.

End-to-End Encryption

SecureNote is built with a Zero-Knowledge architecture. This means:

  • All notes, drawings, and voice recordings are encrypted on your device before they are sent to the cloud.
  • Your encryption key is derived from your password on your device and is never sent to our servers.
  • We cannot read your notes, view your drawings, or listen to your recordings, even if we wanted to.

Data Collection

We collect minimal information required to provide the service:

  • Account Information: Email address and authentication tokens provided by Firebase Auth.
  • Cloud Data: Encrypted notes and multimedia files stored in Google Cloud/Firebase. These remain unreadable to us.
  • Usage Statistics: Anonymous crash reports and basic usage metrics to improve app stability.

Third-Party Services

We use Firebase (a Google service) for authentication, database, and cloud storage. Their use of your data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the Settings page in the app. Deleting your account will remove all notes and files from our cloud infrastructure immediately.
